Types of 4‑H Programs:
Our projects reach youth through hands-on learning. Kids build not only confidence, creativity and curiosity, but also life skills such as leadership and resiliency to help them thrive today and tomorrow.
4‑H programs and resources are available through Boone County 4‑H clubs and camps, with the support of adult mentors, youth select from a menu of hands-on project ideas to complete. 4‑H programs are available for kids and teens ages 8-18.

Learn proper nutrition, housing and health care for your Llama/Alpaca and show your animals at the fair. Optional are poster presentations, fleece crafts, and fiber competition.

Open May, 2022 There are various deadlines with various fees based on when you enroll your animals through the Indiana State Fair Entry system. State Fair Entry website: click here
Reminders:
- Each 4-H member will be required to complete three activities in their project manual.
- Each member must complete and submit a Llama/Alpaca record sheet due at close of animal check-in time as listed in the 4-H fair catalog.
- Grade is based on the grade you were in when you enrolled in 4-H for the 2022 year.
- If you exhibit an animal poster project you need to complete the General 4-H Record Sheet and turn it in at judging check-in in order to have your poster judged. This is required even if you plan to exhibit an animal in that project at the county fair.
General Livestock Record Sheet
Learn proper nutrition, housing and healthcare for your poultry. Participate at the show with the following, eggs, chickens, duck, turkeys, geese. There is also a workbook required to complete this project.

May 15, 2022 Birds must be owned and cared for by 4-H member (with the exception of meat bird hybrids, such as Cornish cross)
June 15, 2022 Meat bird hybrids must be owned and cared for by the 4-H member

Reminders:
- Each 4-H member needs to turn in a record sheet and complete 3 activities from the project manual to complete the poultry project for the year.
- Grade is based on the grade you were in when you enrolled in 4-H for the 2022 year.
