Sponsored by the IRS, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free, accurate tax preparation for individuals and families with low to moderate incomes through IRS-certified volunteers. VITA also helps taxpayers claim eligible credits and connect to financial education and asset-building resources.
