Steuben County 4-H Fair – Preliminary Schedule of Events – July 21-27, 2023

Steuben County Park/Fairgrounds: 100 Lane 101B Crooked Lake, Angola, IN 46703

Gate Admission: 

     Daily Pass: $2/walk-in or $5/car

     Weekly Pass: $10/car (purchased prior to Opening Day) OR $15/car (purchased during the fair)

 

Truck Pull and Rodeo Event Admission:

     Single Adult Ticket-$15 or 2 Adult Tickets for $25

     Single Pit Pass Ticket-$20 or 2 Pit Pass Tickets for $35

     Youth Ticket (ages 5-12)-$5

Saturday, July 15 – Pre-fair Clean-up and Event Center Set-up, 8 AM – Noon

Monday, July 17– 4-H Fair Board Meeting, 7 PM, Lake Pavilion

Tuesday, July 18 – Extension Office temporarily relocates to County Park

Wednesday, July 19 – 4-H Achievement Winner Judging, 2 PM, Steuben County Event Center; 4-H Photography Check-in, 4:30-5:30 PM with Judging at 5:30 PM, Steuben County Event Center; 4-H Non-Perishable Project Check-in, 4:30 – 8 PM, Steuben County Event Center

Thursday, July 20 – 4-H Perishable Project Check-in, 8 AM, Steuben County Event Center; 4-H Project Judging, 9 AM, Steuben County Event Center; Concessions by the Otsego Go-Getters 4-H Club; 4-H Rocket Launch to take place directly after judging, weather permitting; Poultry Project Check-in, 5-8 PM, Poultry Barn; Haul-in for Pre-Registered Campers Begins, 5 PM; Miss Steuben County Queen Contest (crowning to take place Friday), 7:30 PM, Steuben Community Center

 

Friday, July 21

6 PM – Little Miss and Mister Contest and Miss Steuben County Queen Crowning, Rensch Hall

Saturday, July 22 – Boutique and Craft Show Day - Steve Jennings Ecowater Systems Day

8 AM – Started Calf and Dairy Feeder Consignment Bidding, Started Calf Barn

9 AM – 4-H Swine Show, Rensch Hall

9 - 11 AM – Open Class Project Check-in, Lions Building

10 AM – 2 PM – Boutique and Craft Show, Lions Building Lawn

Noon – 4-H Rocket Launch Rain Date, meet outside Event Center

1 PM – Open Class Exhibit Judging, Lions Building

2 PM – 4-H Goat Show, Rensch Hall

3 PM - 4-H Faceoff Registration Due, Fair Office

4 PM - “County Fair” Art Contest Ends

4 PM – Open Class Silent Auction for Baked Goods, Lions Building

4:30 PM – Free Performance by the Prairie Heights High School Drama Club, Rensch Hall

6 PM - “County Fair Art Contest Silent Auction Begins, Lions Building

8 PM – IPRA and Mid-States Rodeo by Diamond J Rodeo Company, Grandstands (8-event show includes: Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc, Team Roping, Bareback Riding, and Cowgirl Breakaway Roping)

9 AM – 4-H Horse & Pony Show (English, Versatility, Speedmanship), H&P Arena

9 AM - 4-H Rabbit Show, Rabbit Barn

10 AM – 4-H Dairy Feeder Steer, Beef Feeder, Dairy Beef, and Beef Shows, Rensch Hall

1 PM – IPRA and Mid-States Rodeo by Diamond J Rodeo Company, Grandstands (8-event show includes: Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc, Team Roping, Bareback Riding, and Cowgirl Breakaway Roping)

2 PM – 4-H Sewing Fashion Revue Judging, followed by 4-H Consumer Clothing Judging, Lions Building
