Transformation

Purdue Extension has launched a process that incorporates a regional team strategy to ensure that our programs remain strong, effective and sustainable.

For over 100 years, Purdue Extension has successfully connected the people of Indiana with the expertise and research of Purdue University, helping farmers, families, communities and youth thrive. Today, Indiana’s needs are changing, and so Extension must also change to fulfill our mission.

These priorities are leading that change.

  • Meet the changing needs of our state
  • Administer a sustainable model
  • Organize and energize regional teams

Our regional team approach will coordinate services across counties, provide consistent access to specialized expertise, and ensure programs and resources are aligned with today’s priorities.

Currently, we have two teams sharing services across counties. We plan to complete statewide implementation of this model by the end of 2027.

Thank you for your continued engagement and support as we move forward with change that will sustain Purdue Extension as a major contributor to our state and its future.
