4-H BRINGS YOUTH TOGETHER TO LEARN NEW IDEAS, DEVELOP SKILLS, WORK COOPERATIVELY TO PROBLEM-SOLVE COMMUNITY ISSUES AND NEEDS, AND TO BECOME LEADERS IN THEIR COMMUNITY. THE BASIS FOR THE PROGRAM IS TO UTILIZE THEIR HEADS FOR CLEARER THINKING, HEARTS FOR GREATER LOYALTY, HANDS FOR LARGER SERVICE, & HEALTH FOR BETTER LIVING. NOT JUST FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT, BUT FOR THEIR CLUB, COMMUNITY, COUNTRY & THEIR WORLD.
THE AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES (ANR) PROGRAM REACHES BEYOND TRADITIONAL AGRICULTURE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CITIZENS AND HOMEOWNERS.
THE HEALTH & HUMAN SCIENCES (HHS) PROGRAM FOCUSES ON FOUR MAIN AREAS: HUMAN HEALTH, HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, FOODS & NUTRITION AND, FAMILY RESOURCE MANAGEMENT. EDUCATION ON A WIDE VARIETY OF SUBJECTS AFFECTING FAMILIES OR CONSUMERS IS ALSO OFFERED TO COMMUNITY GROUPS AND SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COUNTY.
