Our Community Garden

Our Community Garden

Our Community Garden was established in the Spring of 2021. It is located at the Floyd County 4-H Fairgrounds. It started out with the installation of a shed and 30 raised garden beds. A rock ADA compliant pathway and a six foot fence were also installed to further benefit the space. Garden beds were rented by community members but also by various groups such as Let Us Learn, Floyd County Master Gardeners, and the Purdue Extension Floyd County Office to either grow food for themselves or to donate to local food banks.

In the 2022 garden season, Our Community Garden had produced 375 pounds of fresh produce that was donated to Hope Southern Indiana food pantry. It would not have been possible without the help and support of the many  companies, organizations, and community members involved.

Stay tuned to see what's to come in 2023!
