Our eSports program is forming with meetings tenatively set to begin in January. Meetings will be held at the Floyd County Library in New Albany.

We are looking for youth players in grades 3-12, coaches, and referees. Competitions will be held in Floyd County. The goal is to grow critical thinking skills, leadership, communication, teamwork, and sportsmanship through the world of eSports!

Jennifer Abrell, 4-H Educator, Next Chapter / College and Career Readiness for Purdue Extension will be hosting a virtual Financial Aid and Scholarship Workshop on December 12 at 6:00 pm.  The workshop is geared toward high school students and their parent/guardian(s).  Please register at this link: https://4HScholarshipHelp.4honline.com,   The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants.  THIS WILL TAKE PLACE OF SAM'S MEETING THAT WAS PLANNED FOR DECEMBER 16.

By May 15, 2025 4-H’ers in grades 3-12 will need to take either the YQCA (online) or the Floyd County 4-H Quality Livestock Assurance Training (in-person) before showing animals in the Floyd County Fair. Training is not needed for Horse, Pony, Llama and Alpaca, & Dog. Bring $3 exact cash or a check made payable to the Purdue CES Ed Fund. In-person participants are not required to provide proof of training, as attendance will be recorded when you register on the sign in sheet upon arrival.

 

Training will be held at Purdue Extension Floyd County office at 3000 Technology Ave in New Albany (Across from Kohl's on Charlestown Road).  In-person dates are:

Monday, February 10, at 6 PM

Tuesday, March 11, at 6 PM

Saturday, April 5, at 10 AM
