Carroll County 4-H
4-H is the largest youth development program in the United States, helping young people build life skills, leadership, and a sense of community. The “H’s” stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health—a pledge that reflects the well-rounded growth 4-H encourages in every member.
Through hands-on projects in areas like agriculture, science, health, and civic engagement, youth have the opportunity to explore their interests, discover their potential, and develop practical skills that last a lifetime. Members may raise animals, learn to cook, practice public speaking, explore robotics, serve their communities, or pursue dozens of other project areas.
Supported by caring adult volunteers and guided by the land-grant university Extension system, 4-H creates a space where young people feel a sense of belonging, grow their confidence, and learn how to make a positive impact in the world around them.
