2026 Carroll County 4-H Fair

Livestock
4-H youth exhibiting beef cattle, dairy cattle, dairy goats, meat goats, poultry, rabbits, sheep, or swine are expected to attend a comprehensive training in understanding their responsibility in increasing consumer confidence, animal stewardship, and overall gaining and applying pertinent information and credibility, relating to the food system. A QLC training attendance, or YQCA certificate must be provided to the Carroll County Purdue Extension office by June 30th.
The Indiana 4-H Quality Livestock Care Training will be offered in-person 3 times in 2026:
Wednesday, March 12th @ 5:00PM in the 4-H Building
Wednesday, April 9th @ 6:00PM in the 4-H Building
Saturday, May 17th @ 9:00AM in the 4-H Building
YQCA is only available online for a fee, with test-out options available for youth ages 12, 15, and 19.

All held at the Carroll County 4-H Fairgrounds
Monday, March 10th from 5-7PM
All beef steers, dairy beef steers, commercial beef heifers, and market beef heifers will be weighed, receive a county ear tag, as well as a RFID tag (if not already present)
Monday, May 5th from 5-7PM
All market lambs and commercial ewes will receive a county tag. Purebred ewes going to state fair must also be tagged with an RFID tag.
All boer, dairy, myotonic & pygmy wethers, and market does will receive a county tag. All meat goats and market does going to state fair must also be tagged with an RFID tag.
