Hamilton County 4-H Fair Public Participation
Families are always welcome at the Hamilton County 4-H Fair, July 16 - 20, 2026. The following events and contests are open to the public.
Registration: Saturday, July 18, 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. No entries will be accepted before 8:30 a.m.

Registration: Saturday, July 18, 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Open Flower Show Registration Form
No entries will be accepted before 8:00 a.m.
Closed Judging: Saturday, July 18, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p. m.
(or until completed)
Public Viewing: Saturday, July 18, after judging is completed
Sunday, July 19, 10:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Exhibits Released: Sunday, July 19, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The committee will not be responsible for projects and their
security after 5 p.m.
1. All flowers to be used in the Open Flower Show are to be grown
by their exhibitor unless specified in the description.
2. Any exhibit condoning or promoting the use of alcoholic
beverages will not be accepted.
3. No daylilies permitted in any exhibits.
4. Each variety will receive the following ribbons:
a.1 Blue
b.1 Red
c.1 White
d.Honorable mentions can be awarded at the judges’
discretion.
e.No champion will be given.
f.1 Sweepstakes ribbon will be awarded for the Horticulture
Division.
g.1 Sweepstakes ribbon will be awarded for the Artistic Division.
h.TBD Additional prize for Sweepstakes.
5. Entry fee of $2.00 per exhibit.
6. Any Hamilton County resident, Hamilton County Extension
Homemaker, or Hamilton County Master Gardener age 18 or older
is eligible to exhibit.
7. The 4-H Council and its affiliates assume no liability of claims
for safety or damage of exhibits while on the grounds. All flowers
should be grown by the exhibitor unless specified in the
description. Anyone helping to create the exhibits cannot be a
commercial or plant professional.
8. Judges’ decisions are final.

Homemade Ice Cream Contest Registration Form
Sunday, July 19, 2026 2:00 p.m.
1. Sign up time is 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. (Pull time scheduled for 2:00
p.m.)
2.There is an entry fee of a canned food item or $1.00 to be
donated to a Food Pantry
a.Age Classes will be:
i.Ages 4-5
ii.Ages 6-7
iii.Ages 8-9
iv.Ages 10-11
v.Ages 12-13
vi.Ages 14-15
3. Trophies will be given to the winner of each class.
4. Tractor will be provided.
5. One pull per child.
6. Parental written consent is mandatory.
7. Child must be present at time of call or child will be disqualified.
8. Children must wear shoes.
9. Children must stay within pulling boundaries when pulling. Any
time tractor leaves boundaries child is disqualified.
10. Children must not touch wheels while pulling.
11. Decision of officials will be final.
Sunday, July 19, 2026
5:00 p.m. - Participants must be 2-8 years of age and be accompanied by their favorite pet. All will receive ribbons. Judging will be on most creative in the various categories. Participants must bring proof of current rabies vaccination. Immediately following Pet Parade pets must leave the Fairgrounds

Registration: 4:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m. - Registration forms are available starting opening day of the 4-H Fair. There will be a limited number of entries, so sign up early! There must be 6 youth per team. Register your team at the Fair Office during the Fair. There are two groups and awards will be given to the winner in each division. The divisions are determined by the average team age the day of the event. To determine your teams average age, add the ages of all team members and divide by 6. Youth in 12 grade is the maxium.
Group 1) (Junior) Average Team Age 12 and under
Group 2) (Senior) Average Team Age 13 and above
Registration deadline is Sunday at 2:00 p.m. We will accept the first 16 Junior teams and the first 16 senior teams registered in each division.
