Explore weed control, crop scouting, cover crops, harvest safety, pesticide label changes, and the latest ag outlook. Network with industry experts, vendors, and fellow producers while earning valuable knowledge to strengthen your operation. Lunch is included.
Event Agenda:
8:00 AM – Sign-in, refreshments, and visit vendors
8:30 AM - Office of the Indiana State Chemist
9:00 AM - Session Rotations in the Field
- Weed ID and Control
- Harvest Safety: Combines and Grain Bins
- Late Season Crop Scouting
- Cover Crops and Soil Health
12:00 PM - Visit Vendors
12:30 PM - Lunch and Ag Outlook by Michael Langemeier
Pesticide applicator credits will be available, sponsored by Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Indiana Soybean Alliance. Commercial Applicator credits have been applied for.
Certified Crop Advisor credits will be available.
The September 9 field day will be held at Northeast Purdue Agricultural Center (NEPAC), 4821 E. 400 S, Columbia City, IN.
As stated, admission is free, but registration is required by Sept. 2 for lunch count. Register at https://purdue.link/NEPAC-2026. Alternatively, you may contact the Whitley County Extension Office at 260-244-7615 to register.
