Soil Testing
Our Urban Agriculture Educator, Rebecca Koetz can assist Lake County residents with analyzing the results they receive after mailing a soil sample kit to the lab. Contact Purdue Extension-Lake County office at 219-755-3240 if you would like to obtain a soil sample test. There are many accredited soil testing labs in Indiana. Purdue Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab has compiled a list of labs to use for testing your soil sample. Note: Purdue Extension does not conduct or mail soil tests for clients, though educators are available to answer questions you have and interpret report results.
