Garden: Strawberries

You will learn to grow and prepare strawberries in this project. Because strawberry plants take time to grow, gardeners must have patience. First-year members start out by planting their strawberry patches. The plants do not bear fruit until their second year. As growers become more experienced, patch size can be increased. Upper-division members also perform various experiments with varieties, fertility, and plant spacing.

NOTE:  Division 1 - Project Book must come to the fair.
