4-H Clubs
Carroll Co. has 14 organized 4-H clubs. The majority of these are Community clubs. Plus, there are 3 project clubs.
Community clubs are located in most of the townships in Carroll Co. The Community clubs meet 1 - 2 times a month from Nov. through the Fair. Community clubs offer a broad and general 4-H background. Some of the activities in a community club include: officers, demonstrations, programs, community service projects, make a float for the 4-H parade, paint a barrell for the fair, club picnic and / or club field trip.
Project clubs focus on a single project. The project clubs are: Junior Leaders, Shooting Sports, and Young Wranglers (horse and pony).
Volunteers
Adults are needed for “4-H Volunteers”, also known as Club Leaders, Project Leaders, 4-H Exhibit Board members, Animal committee members and helpers during the fair.
Junior Leaders
Youth in grades 7 - 12 can join 4-H Junior Leaders. The Carroll Co. 4-H Junior Leaders meet from Sept. - Aug. each year. The have monthly programs / activities / trips.
