Purdue Extension in Wabash and Whitley Counties are offering a 3-session course in May entitled, “Stewarding Healthy Landscapes, Controlling Invasive Species.” The series is designed for homeowners and commercial applicators.
Class sessions will take place May 5, 12, and 19 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.
The May 5 session will take place at the Whitley County Ag Museum on the Whitley County 4-H Fairgrounds, 680 W. Squawbuck Rd., Columbia City, IN. It will cover an introduction to invasive species as well as reporting, recording, and tracking invasive species.
The second session on May 12 will be at the Community Foundation of Wabash County, 220 E. Main Street, North Manchester, IN. This class will cover invasive species in the home landscape.
On May 19, we'll be back at the Whitley County Ag Museum. The final class will cover native plants for Indiana landscapes.
The $45 class fee will cover handouts, extra resources, and light refreshments. Commercial Applicator CCHs are available in categories 1, 2, 3a, 3b, 6, and RT to those who attend all 3 sessions.
