A Matter of Balance

Do you have concerns about falling? Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

This program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. You will learn to:

  • view falls as controllable
  • set goals for increasing activity
  • make changes to reduce fall risks at home
  • exercise to increase strength and balance

Who should attend?

  • anyone concerned about falls
  • anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength
  • anyone who has fallen in the past
  • anyone who has restricted activities because of falling concerns

Classes are held at the Wells County Council on Aging (225 Water Street, Bluffton, IN 46714) every Tuesday for 8 weeks from 1:30 - 3:30 PM on the following dates:

  • January 30
  • February 6
  • February 13
  • February 20
  • February 27
  • March 5
  • March 12
  • March 19

Classes are FREE, but class size is limited, so please call the Purdue Extension Office of Wells County at 260-824-6412 to register by January 23, 2024.
