What is the Safe Sitter Program?

Safe Babysitting by Safe Sitter® is a program designed for youth in grades 6-8 who are interested in learning how to safely care for children. The program is designed to enable a volunteer to facilitate an introductory level program about safe babysitting techniques.

Youth learn tips to manage behavior that will help them stay in control of themselves and the children in their care. Students also learn the ages and stages of child development, as well as practicing diapering.
