2026 Homemade for the Holidays Program

The Elkhart County Extension Homemakers will host “Homemade for the Holidays” on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at Maple Hall (old Home & Family Arts Building) at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

The morning will offer attendees an opportunity to get into the holiday spirit with food tasting, make-and-take activities, craft demonstrations, holiday decorating ideas and time to have fun with friends. A silent auction will also be held.

Registration is $15 for those who preregister by Wednesday, October 14. The cost is $20 at the door or after October 14, with cash or check accepted. Checks should be made payable to Elkhart County Extension Homemakers.

As part of the event, Extension Clubs will participate in a Snowman Contest. Clubs are invited to create a snowman using any medium, with entries no larger than 12 by 18 inches. Possible mediums include canvas, paint, wood, crochet, paper, diamond art or cookies. Entries must be delivered by Wednesday, October 14 to Sherry Weaver. Attendees will vote for their favorite, and the snowman entries will become door prizes. 

Donations for the silent auction must also be delivered to Sherry Weaver by Wednesday, October 14.
