Johnson County will once again be offering a Purdue Master Gardener Basic Training Class. Classes are scheduled for Tuesdays from 6 pm - 9 pm, January 9 through March 27 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, IN. The 12 week class provides gardeners with education on gardening and horticulture topics so that they can become volunteers to help others grow.
The Mini 4-H program is geared towards activity based learning. Curriculum is based on the age appropriate research and involves cooperative, experiential, and noncompetitive activities. Mini 4-H'ers have the opportunity to attend club meetings.Hamilton County Mini 4-H program is for children enrolled in Kindergarten, First and Second Grade of the current 4-H year.
Many scholarships are available for the youth and adults of Hamilton County. Please check due dates and requirements carefully to be assured of consideration for each scholarship.
