4-H Goat Club

About Us

The Goat 4-H Club is dedicated to educating and inspiring youth to excel in the care, management, and showing of goats while fostering leadership, responsibility, and a love for agriculture. Our mission is to provide an enriching and supportive environment where members can:

  • Learn essential topics in goat care, including nutrition, grooming, health maintenance, and housing.
  • Explore diverse goat breeds and their purposes, such as dairy, meat, fiber, and companion animals.
  • Master showmanship jargon and skills, including handling, ring etiquette, and presentation techniques.
  • Gain hands-on experience in preparing and showcasing goats for competitions and fairs.
  • Develop leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking skills through club activities and community engagement.
  • Promote an understanding of agriculture’s importance and a respect for animals and the environment.

Through workshops, hands-on activities, and participation in shows, we aim to empower young goat enthusiasts to grow into confident, knowledgeable, and compassionate agricultural leaders.
