Join Purdue Extension for a 5-week virtual program covering Succession, Business, Estate and Retirement Planning! Managing for Today & Tomorrow is a program meant for participants to develop skills as well and networks for creating a transition plan for your farming or ranching operation. Whether you are growing an operation or continuing a productive business, this program is for you! Participants will learn how the areas of succession, business, estate, and retirement planning join together to create a transition plan.

Weekly Zoom Meetings on Thursdays from 10am-12pm

Session 2: January 22nd, 2026

  • Estate Planning: Concepts & Tools

  • Succession Planning: Communication Barriers

  • Succession Planning: Improving Communications

Session 3: January 29th, 2026

  • Business Planning: Review of Financial Statements and Ratios

  • Business Planning: Vision for the Business

  • Estate Planning: Methods of Asset Transfer

Session 4: February 5th

  • Retirement Planning: What Does Your Someday Look Like?

  • Succession Planning: Analyze Your Situation

  • Estate Planning: Transfer of Assets and Estate Tools

Session 5: February 12th

  • Retirement Planning: Strategies for Reaching Retirement Goals

  • Business Planning: Insurance

  • Succession Planning: Your Transition Action Plan
