GUIDELINES:
1. Refer to the poster and general display guidelines.
2. This project is for 4-H'ers who are interested in horses without owning their own horse or pony.
3. Choose a new topic each year you are in this project.
4. Suggested Resources available at the Extension Office: Horses & Horsemanship and Horse Science


EXHIBIT:
Division 1 Grades 3-4 (suggested):
Exhibit one (1) of the following:
a. Poster with a picture showing the parts of a horse.
b. Poster with pictures showing different breeds of horses.
c. Poster with pictures showing different colors of horses.

Division 2 Grades 5-6 (suggested):
Exhibit one (1) of the following:
a. Poster showing tack with information about each piece.
b. Poster showing gaits of the horse.
c. Poster showing and explaining items used in proper grooming.

Division 3 Grades 7-8 (suggested):
Exhibit one (1) of the following:
a. Poster giving training information.
b. Poster showing hoof structure.
c. Poster showing and explaining items used in proper foot care.
d. Poster relating to horse safety.

Division 4 and Above Grades 9-12 (suggested):
Exhibit one (1) of the following:
a. Poster showing anatomy.
b. Poster showing examples of unsoundness.
