2016 4-H Camp Applications are now available at the Extension office, or may be printed here. Applications are due by 4 pm on Friday, May 6. A big THANK YOU to the Fair Board for paying 1/2 of the camp fees again this year!! The cost to 4-H'ers who meet the qualifications will be $80. Camp is June 6-9.

Shooting Sports Safety Meetings will be held on March 12 & 19 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the technology building, lunch will be provided. Participants in the shooting sports project must attend 1 safety meeting. If you have not signed up for the Shooting Sports project but plan to please do so by March 1 so we may prepare for the safety meetings.
This question was posed to 110 5th graders participating in the annual forestry field day. Purdue Extension partnered with the Switzerland County School Corporation, Switzerland County Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Switzerland County Farm Bureau Inc. to provide a program centered around forestry, S.T.E.M, and forestry related careers.
Switzerland County held STEM activities with 86, 6th grade youth. The 4-H National Youth Science Day Program is a premiere rallying event for science. This program brings together youth, volunteers, and educators from the nation's 109 land-grant colleges and universities. "Rockets to the Rescue" captures many of the wonders and issues of modern day engineering.
The pursuit of developing young leaders and positive citizens for our community is an integral part of the mission of the Switzerland County Extension Service.
