The Pike's Flying Manes are hosting the 2018 Area 3 4-H Horse and Pony Fun Show on Saturday, June 23 at the Pike County 4-H Fairgrounds. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Showing starts at 9:00 a.m. Entry fee is $5 per class.
Stalls available all day for $20 per stall ($10 refund if stall is well cleaned). Shavings NOT provided.
Concessions available the day of the show. Proceeds benefit the Pike's Flying Manes 4-H Club.
Open Class books with project categories, descriptions and rules are now available. New this year, Open Class workshops will be held Monday - Friday from 6:30-8PM each evening for visitors to try their own hand at a new skill. See Open Class book for a full listing.
Playing and exploring in nature can help build a child's confidence, creativity, responsibility, encourages activity, and can reduce stress. Sometimes though it can be hard to come up with fun activities to do outside. If you struggle with ideas we have just the program. Join us Saturdays in June at Ouabache Trails in Vincennes for family nature adventures. During this event youth will get to create projects, play in nature, while learning about our natural resources.
The Purdue Mastering Home Food Preservation Program, sponsored by Purdue Extension, has three classes scheduled around Indiana for 2018
Co-Parenting for Successful Kids is a research-based education class designed to help families cope with divorce and custody. Parents will learn how to develop plans for respectful, responsive and responsible co-parenting. Adults who are separating, divorcing or non-married parents will benefit from participating in this class.
