Purdue Extension is hosting a program on August 7, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., at the Lake Placid Christian Conference Center in Hartford City to provide timely agronomic, forage, cover crop, grain market, and crop insurance information to East Central Indiana farmers, landowners, and agribusiness professionals on issues related to the challenging growing conditions we have experienced in 2015.

EACH market and breeding animal exhibit from the following departments: Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Swine, Sheep, Dairy Goat, Boer Goat and Meat Goats entered at the Indiana State Fair must be listed on a 4-H Animal Affidavit. Use multiple copies if needed. Exhibitors of all other animals may be required to complete and sign the animal affidavit at any time.

Production agriculture will be front and center at the annual Davis-Purdue Agricultural Center Field Day. The event is scheduled for September 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The educational program is free and registration begins onsite at 8:00 a.m. Davis-Purdue is located five miles north of Farmland on Indiana 1.
