4-H PROJECTS SELECTED FOR INDIANA STATE FAIR
If your 4-H Project has been “Selected for State Fair”, there will be a fee $2.00 per project (not to exceed $4.00 per 4-H member). Fees offset expenses of delivery of projects to the State Fair Grounds. If your item is too large or too fragile to transport, the Extension Office has been in contact with you so you can make your own arrangements to transport the project down to the Indiana State Fair.
** Non-perishable projects must be delivered to the Extension Office by Thursday, July 25th BEFORE 4:30 p.m. This includes CAKE DECORATING.
** Perishable projects, this includes garden, flowers, foods, and food preservation. MUST be delivered to the Extension Office by Wednesday, July 31st BY 8:00 a.m. DRIVERS WILL BE LEAVING PROMTLY!
Be sure to PACK YOUR PROJECT CAREFULLY! Make sure the size of the package is appropriate for size of item(s). If your project includes a display or several pieces (home environment, electric, garden, etc.) Label all of the pieces with name and project also include a picture or diagram so we can arrange the articles the way you want them!
If you are choosing not to exhibit your project at the State Fair, contact the Extension Office by Thursday, July 25th.
You will receive a State Fair ticket so that you can go and see you project exhibited. You may pick up your ticket when you drop off your project at the Extension Office.
ALL projects MUST be picked up at the Extension Office from August 22nd until September 7th. Any project left after September 7th becomes the property of the Whitley County Extension Office!
