4-H Livestock Workshop - Do you want to test your judging skills with Beef, Goats, Sheep and Swine or learn more about Animal Bio security? Plan to attend the 4-H Livestock Workshop on April 20, 7-8:30 at the Robert & Peggy Warrick Shop. You will have the opportunity to judge one class in each species. The Seeger FFA Livestock Judging Team and the Warren County 4-H Bio security Team will be hosting us for the evening.

Opportunity is Knocking. There are many activities in 4-H. At the county level there are township clubs and project clubs. Mini 4-H has a day of fun after school is out. 4-H Camp is available for those in grades 3-6; counselors needed grades 9-12. Jr. Leaders is a great project to sharpen your leadership skills. Round Up is for those in grades 7-8 to start career exploration. 4-H Band and Chorus are for grades 8-12. 4-H Academies delve deeper into subjects on Purdue's campus.
The Shooting Sports program is designed to teach the safe use of firearms and archery equipment on the shooting range and in the hunting field, to instill the importance of home firearms responsibility, and to develop the skills to properly handle firearms and archery equipment. The shooting disciplines available are archery, rifle, pistol, and shotgun. A Hunter Education course will be made available for all shooting sports members prior to participating in shooting events.

Purdue Extension Warren and Fountain counties are partnering with the Area IV Agency on Aging to offer a program for older adults who have concerns about falling. This award-winning research based program is designed to help manage falls and increase activity levels.
