The Pinney Purdue Diagnostic Training will provide a “hands-on” approach for teaching the art and science of accurately diagnosing crop problems for Northwest Indiana. The sessions should help those who work with field crops to fine-tune their season-long problem trouble-shooting skills and evaluate new and alternative management strategies. These sessions will provide pertinent information on interacting factors (nutrient, pest, and environmental stresses) that impact corn and soybean growth and development.

9:30 am Session 1: Field Crop Diseases (Darcy Telenko)
10:30 am Break/Travel Time
10:45 am Session 2: Late Season Corn Issues (Dan Quinn)
11:45 am Lunch
12:15 pm Session 3: Late Season Soybean Management (Shaun Casteel)
1:15 pm Break/Travel Time
1:30 pm Session 4: Weather and Climate (Austin Pearson)
2:30 pm Break/Travel Time
2:45 pm Session 5: Soil Health (Bryan Overstreet)
3:45 pm CCA CEU and CCH Sign-Up; pick up PARP receipts

Topics covered at the workshop determine the categories and hours awarded.
Workshop participants will be awarded:
Commercial Applicator CCHs:
(Cat 1= 4, Cat 11=4, CAT 14=3 CCHs; RT=5 CCHs)
Certified Crop Adviser CEUs: (IPM=1; CM=3, SW=1)
CEUs are only applicable to the ASA/CCA Continuing Education Program.
PARP Credit available for Indiana Private Applicators (with additional $10 PARP fee)
