Lawn and Garden Tractor (Driving)

This project stresses the importance of tractor care and safety. In the first year of the project, members become acquainted with the tractor and safety precautions. As the members advance in their skills, they learn more techniques regarding tractor care and maintenance. In the more advanced divisions, youth learn tractor care and trouble shooting methods for all types of machinery. Training and experience received in the Tractor program are invaluable to youth planning a future in agriculture or a related field. Winners of the County Tractor Driving Contest will compete in Area competition.

The two categories of tractors are: Farm Tractors and Lawn & Garden. In the Lawn & Garden tractors, 4-H'ers can also participate using Zero Radius Turn Mowers.
