The annual Crop Production Clinic hosted by Purdue Extension-Madison County will be Friday, December 4, 2015 in Alexandria, Ind. The clinic will inform land owners, farmers and the agribusiness members about crop markets, reducing inputs related to corn production, how soybeans can help a farm's profitability and how to use a herbicide classification chart. In addition, a speaker from the Midwest Regional Climate Center will highlight the issues in agriculture and the climate. The clinic is free

Produce Farm
ANDERSON, Ind. - A farmer network initiated in March 2015 by Purdue Extension is seeking new participants. Purdue Extension in Delaware and Madison Counties is coordinating the network for those interested in local and regional food production, with a focus on diversified, specialty crop, and small- to mid-scale farm owners and operators marketing their products direct to consumers and to local and regional buyers. Beginning or aspiring farmers are highly encouraged to participate.

It's time again to enroll for next year's Madison County 4-H program. The enrollment website is Paper forms are also available at the Extension Office. The cost is $25.00 for all regular 4-H members (grades 3-12). There is no charge for mini 4-H members (grades 1 & 2).
