Healthy Hooves, Healthy Herds: Sheep & Goats

Join us for a free hands-on sheep and goat hoof trimming workshop designed to help producers and animal owners build confidence in proper hoof care. Learn how to safely handle animals, recognize common hoof health issues, and practice correct trimming techniques. Whether you're new to small ruminants or looking to improve your skills, this workshop will provide practical knowledge to support healthier animals and better herd or flock management.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 5:00pm-6:00pm at the Purdue Extension Elkhart County Parking Lot located on the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds (17746 County Road 34, Goshen, IN 46528).

To register or for questions, call Kathryn Jennings at 574-533-0554 or email jennin30@purdue.edu . Participants may bring 1-2 animals to practice on. Please note the animals you will be bringing when you register.
