Our 4-H INDY (Igniting New Discovery in Youth) makerspace provides low- and no-cost STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) educational experiences with a focus on building confidence and curiosity in STEAM college and career pathways.

4-H INDY provides a place for young people to learn, collaborate, and explore. The space focuses on the four core pillars of 4-H: Agriculture/STEM, Civic Engagement, Healthy Living, and Volunteer Development.

Within a culture of equity, the 4-H INDY Studio delivers high-impact educational STEAM experiences for youth that are designed to meet the unique needs of our diverse community and urban landscape.

Location

4-H INDY is located in Discovery Hall Suite 200 (1202 E 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205) on the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Enter the Fairgrounds through gate 16 on 42nd Street, or if it is closed, through Gate 6 on Fall Creek Parkway or Gate 1 on 38th Street. Park in the Discovery Hall lot.

4-H INDY Programming

The 4-H INDY makerspace is available for:

Give the Gift of 4-H

With your support, we will be able to achieve the following goals:

$15 | Enrollment for a Year

A donation of $15 covers the cost of enrolling a participant in our program for an entire year, providing them with valuable learning experiences and opportunities.

$25 | One STEM Kit

A donation of $25 will contribute towards acquiring STEM kits, such as Makey Makeys, STEM Challenge Kits, or Ozobots. These kits play a crucial role in enhancing the hands-on learning experience for our participants.

$50 | Replacement Filament for 3D Printers

A donation of $50 will go towards purchasing replacement filament for our 3D printers. This ensures that our technology-driven projects and activities continue to thrive, promoting creativity and innovation.

$100 | Educational Workshop or Guest Speaker

A donation of $100 will sponsor an educational workshop or bring in a guest speaker to provide specialized knowledge and insights to our participants. This could be a hands-on workshop, a lecture, or a demonstration in a specific field relevant to the 4-H Program's goals.
