Elkhart County 4-H has over 55 clubs! Some are "Subject-Specific Clubs" while others are "General Clubs". Subject-Specific Clubs focus on a specific subject area. General Clubs focus on a variety of subject areas. Your club leader will pass out relevant paperwork to you throughout the year, and they're a great resource to ask any questions you may have throughout the year. Club Focus: 4-H Members will learn and explore the science and technology of flight and aviation. Example activities included build and fly model aircraft, program and fly drones and build rockets for the county 4-H rocket launch. Model Rockets, Electricity, Small Engines and Weather are recommended for members. Field trips are being planned for local airports and other aviation and aerospace centers in Indiana.

Club Focus: The art of photography
About the club:
The Camera Corps is a newer club to the Elkhart County 4-H program. It is not the same as the Photography Project. Members can enter a Photography project through their local club and/or in Elkhart County Camera Corps 4-H Club. Camera Corps is for members who want to learn more about cameras and their settings, composition, be involved in community service projects, and participate in photography opportunities during fair week.
Objectives of the 4-H Camera Corps:
- Develop valuable life skills such as maturity, leadership, self-reliance, sportsmanship, organization, cooperation, communication, and responsibility.
- Experience the pride of capturing memorable moments in a visual and artistic manner.
- Learn about photography as an art, a science and a communication tool.
- Observe, enjoy, and capture your surroundings in a photographic world.
- Explore photography as a hobby or profession.
- Prepare for citizenship responsibilities by working in groups and by supporting community and fair activities.
- Develop an awareness of photography related careers such as graphic design, storyboarding, and the use of photo software for photo manipulation and editing.
Completion Requirements:
The requirements for completion in the Elkhart County 4-H camera corps are as follows:
- Must exhibit at least one entry in the Elkhart County 4-H Fair.
- Complete at least 4 Fair Week Photography Assignments.
- Accumulate at least 100 points on the point list. The list consists of attendance, fundraising participation, community service, fair week exhibits, photography challenges, various 4-H activities, photographing an event, photographing other clubs, participating in field trip opportunities, etc.
- Complete the 4-H Photography Record Sheet (on website).
- Compete at least 1 Community Service Project.

Club Focus: 4-H Members will learn how to code, build and program robots for 4-H competitions, explore newer technologies and systems such as AI, Cobots, 3D Printing and Arduino microcontrollers.
Field trips to local robotics programs and STEM facilities are anticipated. The Computer Science State fair projects are recommended for members.
