Seven agricultural educators and industry leaders have been named recipients of the Certificate of Distinction, the highest honor bestowed by the Purdue Agricultural Alumni Association. The award is presented annually to professionals who have contributed significantly to agriculture, forestry or natural resources through career accomplishments, organizational involvement, community service and other activities.
Women who work in the agricultural industry can network and learn about topics ranging from business planning to gardening for health at the 2017 Midwest Women in Agriculture Conference. The conference will be held Feb. 22-23 at the Swan Lake Resort, 5203 Plymouth LaPorte Trail, Plymouth.

A variety of state scholarships and awards are available to Indiana 4-H members. These scholarships recognize achievements and life skills development resulting from their participation in a variety of 4-H experiences. Posey County 4-H Council also offers one scholarship that is available to Posey County 4-H'ers.
