The Purdue Extension-Posey County will be assisting with the Reality Store experience for 8th grade
students of all Posey County's schools. Volunteers are needed to staff this event - Friday, May 11th
at Mt. Vernon Jr. High School.

Beef & Swine Health Workshop sponsored by the Purdue Extension Educators in Carroll, Cass, Miami & Tipton Counties will be held April 13th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Those seeking to fulfill Indiana's new mandatory training requirements for the application of dicamba herbicide products on DT soybeans can attend a free webinar hosted by Purdue Extension and the Purdue Pesticide Programs.
New for 2018, to exhibit beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, meat goats, dairy goats, poultry and rabbits, all 4-H members in Indiana must be certified through the YQCA program.
While this is a new statewide requirement, it should not be viewed as just another rule, but rather as an important educational opportunity for 4-H livestock members.

A variety of state scholarships and awards are available to Indiana 4-H members. These scholarships recognize achievements and life skills development resulting from their participation in a variety of 4-H experiences. Posey County 4-H Council also offers one scholarship that is available to Posey County 4-H'ers.
