4-H Council Annual Meeting

council2025

Everyone is welcome to join us September 8, 2025 at 7 pm at the Expo Hall on the Fairgrounds. We use this meeting to give you updates about the past year, elect the new 4-H Council members, and take suggestions on how to improve things for the coming year. There is a short presentation and voting followed by committee meetings.

We are also looking for candidates interested in running for 4-H Council. We have three seats up for election this year. A 4-H Council member in Lawrence County plays a crucial role in guiding and supporting the local 4-H program. This involves participating in council meetings (2nd Monday of each month at 7 pm), helping to plan and organize county-wide events and activities, providing input on program improvements, and serving as a liaison between 4-H members, leaders, and the broader community. Their efforts help ensure that the 4-H program effectively meets the needs of its youth participants and fosters their growth and development. Terms are three years, and you can serve up to two consecutive terms. If you are interested in running for election or would like to nominate someone, please email or call McKayla at (padgett1@purdue.edu or 812-275-4623.

We ask that you complete the form below for 4-H Council Reflection Feedback from the 2025 fair.

Please answer the topics clearly and productively. Your feedback will help to determine our plan of action and improvements to be implemented in the coming 4-H program year.
