Grades 7-12 interested in learning about Electric Online Course

Indiana 4-H is partnering with Purdue Online to offer this non-credit course.  Youth 7-12 grade do not have to be a 4-H member to participate and will have 6 months from the time of enrollment to complete the modules. At that time, they may re-enroll in the course. Modules will continue to be developed and added to the course.

 

Register today at purdue.ag/4helectriccourse! Indiana youth can enroll for a special $15 rate! The first 100 participants to complete one module of the online 4-H electric course will receive a special 4-H surprise in the mail! For a limited time, those who complete the entire course will receive an AC circuit tester and will be entered in a drawing to receive a Smart Science IoT kit with 13 sensors and a Micro:bit!

 

This is an online course designed to teach youth in grades 7-12 about voltage, current, and resistance, safety practices, applications of electricity for daily use and the use and care of electrical instruments. Youth will learn about practical applications of electrical equipment and hand tools, test instruments, schematic design, electrical construction, and testing electrical devices and circuits. Youth will also learn about career opportunities of the electric trade. They will develop skills, knowledge, and practical electrical applications that they will be able to use throughout their entire lives, regardless of the career path that they choose.

Registration in this course is subject to the Purdue Online Non-Credit Policies.
