The annual Bake-It Contest for the 2015 Monroe County Fair featured the ingredient of strawberry. The event was hosted by the Monroe County Walk-a-Lot Extension Homemaker's Association and sponsored by the Monroe County Fair board and Kroger.

Purdue will be hosting a 4-H Livestock Volunteer Conference in three locations during November, December and January. This conference is targeted to existing 4-H Volunteers that are involved with 4-H livestock and would like to learn about designing educational opportunities for 4-H members that are age-appropriate, hands-on and fun.
Childhood Obesity Rates continue to climb. Indiana is the 22nd most obese state with a 31.5% obesity rate for children. All child care providers are welcome to join us for a day of fun, interactive, and educational sessions on how to improve the quality of life for the children you serve.
