The 4-H Board of Directors are the overseeing body of the Monroe County 4-H Program, and are the governing body of the 4-H Program.
Junior Leaders is open to any 4-H member in grades 7-12 and provides the opportunity to assist Adult 4-H Volunteers in their 4-H Clubs and related activities. Junior Leaders serve as mentors and role models to the younger 4-H members by sharing their experiences with them.
Mini 4-H is a fun and educational program designed to help build self-esteem by providing youth in Kindergarten through grade 2 the opportunity to learn and be recognized through non-competitive experiental learning. It also helps develop an interest in continuing into the traditional 4-H Program.
The 4-H Youth Development Program is the youth outreach from the Land Grant Universities, Cooperative Extension Services, and the United States Department of Agriculture. The 4-H Name & Emblem is intended to represent the ideals of the program with its focus on Head, Heart, Hands, and Health.
