EARLY RELEASE INFORMATION: Please check you emails for additional information regarding Animal Release
Please read this email thoroughly to ensure you understand the animal release processes for this year.
-
Non-auction/floor swine animals will be released at 1:00 a.m. on July 18. Please try to finish this by 3am.
-
We must be cautious of Friday night fun night that is open until 12:30am and then cattle have until 1am to get the tie outs. Trailers should not approach the barns before 1am.
- Trailers cannot come past the food vendors. Go to the left of the Expo Hall, around the sheep barn and then between the cattle barn and wash rack to head to the Swine Barn. We will load out of the same end of the barn we came in at.
-
Swine canopies near the pit must be removed before leaving the grounds tonight (July 17).
-
Animal release will occur in a controlled, barn-by-barn process.
-
Please wait for your barn to be officially released before loading animals.
-
The process will NOT begin before 8:30pm at the earliest and will be announced. We want to ensure the crowd at the track is settled.
-
Horses may begin walking over the hill to trailers when announced after 8:30pm.
-
Horse trailers must use the perimeter gravel route to exit the grounds.
-
No trailer traffic will be allowed on the main road or near the track.
-
Auction checks (post-dated for two weeks) will be distributed tomorrow evening.
-
When your club leader receives the checks, that barn will be released.
-
Announcements will also be made over the PA system.
-
Once your barn is released, please follow all directions for traffic flow.
-
Cattle and sheep trailers should use the back sides of the barns.
-
No trailer traffic is allowed in the circle area near the food vendors.
-
If a road is blocked, do not drive around barricades or blockades.
-
If you have animals in multiple species barns, you may load animals from the first barn released, but you must wait until other barns are released before loading those animals.
-
Tack may be removed between 1:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18.
-
Pens must be completely cleaned before leaving on July 18.
