ServSafe educates food service workers about food safety. It focuses of five aspects: foodborne microorganisms and allergens, personal hygiene, purchasing/receiving/storage, preparing/cooking/serving, and facilities/cleaning/sanitation/managing pests.

Dining with Diabetes

Nutrition and physical activity are keys to managing your type 2 diabetes. But where do you start? The Dining with Diabetes program can help! Dining with Diabetes consists of four sessions and a reunion. Adults with type 2 diabetes (or who are at risk) are invited to participate. Family members, caregivers, and support persons may attend too.

  • When: Tuesdays - March 12th, 19th, 26th & April 2nd from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM 
  • Where: Purdue Technology Center (3000 Technology Ave., New Albany, IN 47150)
  • Cost: $40 for each participants or $65 for two individuals from the same household that can share materials.

Pressure canner dial gauges should be checked for accuracy every year! Dial gauges can be tested at the Floyd County Extension Office.

Testing is performed on Presto dial-gauge pressure canners only.
Weighted gauges do NOT need to be tested.
