  • October 1: 4-H enrollment for youth and volunteers opens for 2024-2025
    • Please visit Sign In (4honline.com) to enroll. If you have any questions or need any assistance please contact the office at 812-338-5466.

  • February 3: Camp Counselor Applications due in 4-H Online
    • Interviews will be done via Zoom. February 24th, 25th, and 26th from 4-6 p.m. Interviews are first come, first serve and you will receive a link to sign up once you submit your application.
    • Counselor training overnight retreat is May 3-4 and counselors arrive early to camp the afternoon of May 29.

  • February 15: Hiking Spark Club

  • February 20: Harrison County 4-H Presents: Shark Tank
    • Harrison County is thrilled to announce the 4-H Shark Tank Workshop -- an exciting opportunity for youth to unleash their creativity, develop entrepreneurial skills, and pitch their innovative ideas... and WIN CASH!
    • Details:
      • February 20th
      • Workshop "Think Tank" starts at 6:00 p.m.
      • Participants may work individually or in teams to create and present a product or service idea. Youth can start preparing before the workshop or use the workshop time to develop their idea.
      • A panel of local "Sharks" will evaluate the pitches, and winners will receive cash prizes
      • Grand Prize: $150
      • 1st Runner Up: $100
      • 2nd Runner Up: $50
      • Open to 4-H members grade 6-12

  •  March 7: Tenure Award Applications due by 4:30 p.m. to the Purdue Extension Office. Indiana Farm Bureau sponsors the annual statewide award to recognize young men and women in all 92 counties for their years of involvement with their local 4-H club, number of completed projects and overall participation in county, area, and state events.
    • Applications can be picked up at the Purdue Extension Office or requested via email by contacting mitch520@purdue.edu
    • Eligibility: Youth in grades 10-12 in the current program year

  • March 7: Lead by Action Award Applications due by 4:30 p.m. to the Purdue Extension Office. The Lead by Action Award was established in 2021 by the August and Anne Peitzmeier Family. This award is in memory of August A. Peitzmeier and in honor of Anne Peitzmeier who through leadership, civic engagement, and community service strived to make their community a better place.
    • Applications can be picked up at the Purdue Extension Office or requested via email by contacting mitch520@purdue.edu
    • Criteria: candidate must be a youth member of the Purdue Extension Crawford County 4-H Program. Candidate must be in grade 7-12 or their first year immediately following 4-H enrollment eligibility at the time applications are due. Candidate may be the recipient up to two times during 7-12th grade academic years or by their first year immediately following 4-H eligibility.

  • March 27: Quality Livestock Care Training at Purdue Extension Crawford County Office
    • 9 a.m.
    • Please register via 4-H Online or by contacting the Extension Office
  • March 28-30: Teen Leadership Weekend
    • The teen leadership weekend is an exciting opportunity for 4-H members to build their leadership skills, connect with peers from across the state, and prepare to make a positive impact in their communities. Held annually, this conference is designed for youth in grades 7-12 who are ready to take their leadership journey to the next level. Participants engage in hands-on workshops, interactive team activities, and inspiring sessions led by experienced mentors and fellow 4-H members. With a focus on personal growth, teamwork, and service, the weekend empowers youth to skip and create lasting memories.
