Why Be a 4-H Volunteer?

Ways to Volunteer with Boone County 4-H

Project Leader: Share your expertise in a specific area, such as photography, gardening, robotics, animal care and much more through hands-on teaching.

Club Leader: Guide and mentor a 4-H club by organizing meetings, supporting youth-led projects, and fostering leadership skills.

Event Volunteer: Assist with organizing and running 4-H events like fundraisers, workshops, contests, or community service projects.

Committee Member: Join a council or committee to help with planning, decision-making, and program development. Some examples include our 4-H Council or our 4-H Fair Board.

Office Assistance: Assist the office staff with different tasks such as filing, organization, and record keeping.

These are just a few of the ways you acan get involved with our 4-H program. No matter the role, every volunteer contributes to helping youth grow and succeed in Boone County 4-H.

There are currently several projects and clubs looking for adult leaders. These projects are still offered at the county level without a volunteer; however, youth are typically much more successful and are able to learn much more when they have an adult leader guiding them.
