Henry Quesada

Walt Sell
Through the Field Crop Focus group, Sell works with Educators and Specialists in the area of Field Crops and Soil Health to address producer and landowner issues, resulting in enhanced outreach and greater impact. He represents Purdue Extension as a member of the Indiana Conservation Partnership State Team taking part in collaborative efforts to address the conservation needs within Indiana. As the State Onboarding Coordinator, he works closely with new ANR Extension Educators to build a solid foundation for successful careers through the on-boarding process.

Nathan Shoaf
Nathan Shoaf, received his M.S. in Ecological Sciences and Engineering from Purdue University with a focus on horticulture and soil microbiology. He has over 20 years of experience working with stakeholders in urban farms and specialty farm production throughout the United States. Areas of interest: soil health, remediation, contaminant fate and transport, risk perception, and science communication. Nathan collaborates with stakeholders, Extension staff, and faculty to enhance Extension’s statewide programming and resources.

Adam Shanks
Adam is the Digital Agriculture and Natural Resources Curriculum Lead, managing and implementing The National Digital Agriculture Curriculum for Agriculture teachers across the country. He collaborates across the College of Ag to enhance Digital Agriculture education in Indiana. Certified as a Crop Advisor since 2007 and a sUAS FAA Pilot since 2018, Adam co-leads the Purdue Extension UAV Team, the "Quad Squad." In 2022, he obtained his Category 11 license for aerial application using UAVs and educates stakeholders on how to properly and legally utilize this technology. As a member of the (CCSI) Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative, he promotes the use of Digital Agriculture for improved soil health education.

Ashley Adair
Ashley specializes in organic agriculture education and outreach across all types of crops, including grain crops and specialty crops. Her extension program aims to assist organic growers in their efforts to diversify their crop rotations and improve soil health, as well as to educate ag professionals about organic practices and build their capacity to help growers across Indiana.

Bryan Overstreet
Bryan Overstreet is the Conservation Agronomist for Purdue Extension and the Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative (CCSI) since 2023. Previously, he spent 18 years as an Agriculture and Natural Resource Educator with Purdue Extension in Jasper County and 20 years as an Agronomist with an Agriculture Co-op.
In his current role, Bryan collaborates with farmers, Extension Educators, NRCS, ISDA, and SWCDs statewide to promote soil conservation and health. He assists educators with PARPs and other soil health and conservation programs. Additionally, Bryan is involved with the Purdue On The Farm (POTF) team, helping to set up demonstration plots and tests on farms, organizing field days, and mentoring educators on agronomic issues that may or may not be part of the POTF.

Sarah Brackney
Sarah Brackney has been the Daviess County Ag & Natural Resources Educator since 2022. In 2025, she also stepped into a specialist position as one of three statewide Soil Health Agronomists for Purdue Extension, in partnership with Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative (CCSI). Her areas of focus include soil health, nutrient management, and conservation practices in row crop, grain crop, livestock, and large-scale specialty crop systems.
Sarah’s career background includes nearly a decade of specialty crop farm ownership and operation, where she commercially grew mushrooms and culinary herbs, among other produce. In addition, she served with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in their freshwater sportfish aquaculture program.
Sarah holds dual bachelor’s degrees in psychology and environmental science, and the combination lends itself to her interdisciplinary work.
Her current project focus centers on on-farm management, research, and farmer outreach to extend critical soil health and sustainability messaging and practices.

Sarah Hanson
Sarah Hanson is the Food Systems Coordinator for Indiana. Her work supports diverse farms and value-added food businesses. She has a focus on local food and has been involved with local food council efforts. Sarah is on the Small Farm Conference team. She also is involved with connecting people to food safety and health partners.
Prior to this role, she was the Ag/Natural Resources Purdue Extension Educator in Johnson county for 10 years.
