The 4-H Horse and Pony Project provides youth a fun and hands-on learning experience that develops life skills, as well as teaches valuable information about properly caring for their animal. Subjects such as general management, training, nutrition, housing, and health care are presented in the curricular materials, through workshops and activities such as horse bowl, Hippology and judging, and in preparation of an exhibit.
The Allen County Office of the Purdue Extension Service is holding a Holiday Blooms Fundraiser to help keep Extension connected and growing. Poinsettia plants in Red, Marble and White are available for $16.00 each. Also available are Christmas Cactus in Red and White for $8.00 each.
Safe Food Handler's certification is available through a 2-day raining, re-certification review, and exam with the 'Serv Safe' curriculum from the National Restaurant Association.
