Meet Our Team
Annetta is a graduate of Purdue University. Her teaching specialty is Family Resource Management, which she teaches in Porter County and 3 additional counties. During her tenure she has created and implemented numerous money management programs. She also teaches programs on nutrition, food safety, and human development.
Joan is a graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and a master’s degree in Education. She began her career with Purdue Extension – Porter County in February of 2003. Joan is most passionate about her work in growing confident young adults through teen leadership programming, including the LaPorte-Porter 4-H Camp counselor training program and the Porter County 4-H Junior Leaders organization.
Nikky has been with Purdue Extension since May 2007. She started in Lake County and transitioned to Porter County in 2018. She is the Purdue Extension Master Gardener Coordinator in Porter County and works with those in the green industry as well as farmers. While in Porter County, she has become a certified drone pilot, including an aerial applicator drone that will be used for test plots and demonstrations.
Patty has been with Porter County Extension since 2016. Her areas of concentration are Community & Organizational Planning, as well as Leadership & Civic Engagement. Recent programs include the Valparaiso Leadership Academy, Real Colors® personality assessment workshops, Beginner’s Guide to Grant Writing, Facilitative Leadership, Community Coaching, Work Ready, and Leading Better Virtual Meetings.
Terri has been with Purdue Extension since 2015. She began her career as a Community Wellness Coordinator in Lake County and has since added Porter County as well. Terri’s areas of concentration include food security, nutrition, increasing access to physical activity opportunities, food resource management, and food safety. She is also a Grants State Specialist for the Purdue NEP program.
