A little bit about D'Lee -

D’Lee Rush has deep roots within the Greene County community as her parents and extended family grew up and live here.  D’Lee was born in Linton, raised in Greenwood and later attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute where she received her Bachelors (1989) & Master’s (1997) degrees in Family and Consumer Science Education.   While at ISU, she initially met her husband at Cross Country camp as they were both scholarship distance runners. Love blossomed, and they have been happily married for 35 years.  The Rushes have two boys;  Aaron (Purdue University – 2020) who now lives in Hanover, MD.; and Austin who is currently a Junior at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL.  D’Lee was a FACS teacher for 32 years and retired from teaching in 2022 while instructing at Mt. Vernon Community Schools in Fortville, IN.   She brings a hands-on approach to learning, a passion for her subject areas, and compassion to help others. D’Lee is also successful grant writer as well, helping to meet the needs of numerous projects that she has been involved with.

D’Lee and her husband Eric now live in Greene County (Bloomfield), and she has been very involved in local events and immersing herself in the community.  She enjoys being involved with additional clubs, including Extension Homemakers, Master Gardeners, as well as helping with Healthy Hearts - WRV and volunteering at the SonShine shop in Worthington.

D’Lee looks forward to her new adventure in accepting the role of Health and Human Science Educator for Greene County.

Once D'Lee gets settled in we will update this page with all the HHS happenings!
