HHS Extension’s Anti-Poverty Initiatives are dedicated to addressing the root causes of poverty through targeted programs that empower individuals and families to achieve economic stability. Our comprehensive approach includes access to education, job training, affordable housing, and financial literacy resources, all designed to break the cycle of poverty. We focus on providing the tools and support needed for participants to build sustainable livelihoods, improve their quality of life, and become active contributors to their communities.

Our anti-poverty programming also includes access to nutritious food, healthcare, and child care services to ensure that basic needs are met while individuals work toward long-term self-sufficiency. We collaborate with local non-profits, community organizations, and government agencies to offer a range of resources that promote economic mobility, reduce inequality, and increase access to opportunity for underserved populations.

The Justice-Involved Programming offered by HHS Extension is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resources to individuals impacted by the justice system. Our programs are designed to promote successful reintegration into society through a holistic approach that addresses the complex needs of justice-involved individuals.

With a strong focus on substance use recovery, our offerings combine evidence-based treatment, education, and community support to help participants achieve lasting change. These programs aim to reduce recidivism by addressing the root causes of addiction and providing the tools necessary for long-term sobriety. Additionally, participants have access to skill-building workshops and job readiness training that foster a sense of belonging and empowerment.

Our commitment to justice-involved individuals is rooted in a belief in second chances and the potential for personal transformation. Through our comprehensive programming, HHS Extension strives to break the cycle of incarceration and substance use, offering pathways to recovery, stability, and success.
HHS Extension partners with a wide range of community organizations, treatment providers, local agencies, and government entities to ensure the success of our justice-involved programming.

Additional partners include substance use treatment centers, mental health service providers, housing organizations, and workforce development programs. These partnerships are crucial in providing a holistic, coordinated approach to addressing the unique challenges faced by justice-involved individuals. If you're interested in partnering with us to make a meaningful impact, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
