What is this program about?
MarketReady is a program that helps local food producers prepare for selling to wholesale markets. If you’re interested in attending a future session of the MarketReady program, please complete this interest survey. There is a focus on business skills needed to meet the expectations of potential buyers. We are excited for the possibilities as Indiana producers venture into new marketing channels and learn more about product quality, food safety, insurance/managing risks, etc.

The next MarketReady program is scheduled for Oct 30, 2026 in Fort Wayne, IN.
The session will take place at the Purdue Extension Allen county office from 9am to 3pm EST. Registration is open. Before registering, please reach out to see if you are eligible for a discount code. https://cvent.me/PNaDKe
The cost is $50 per person (manual included). Registration is limited to the first 30 participants. Thank you to our partners through the Indiana State Dept of Agriculture. To learn more about the potential to have your fee waived, please contact Sarah (sspeedy@purdue.edu). Eligible applicants must be an Indiana farm or value-added food business producing/selling food products. Also you must have a strong intent to enter (or expand) into wholesale channels. Your business must be in good standing with the state of Indiana.
We are also getting a winter date on the calendar for in-person Market Ready in an area south of Indianapolis
