What We Do
Purdue Extension is a service tailored to meet the needs of Indiana, needs we know firsthand. Our educators, specialists, and volunteers live and work in all 92 Indiana counties. We provide the link between Land Grant research and Indiana citizens. In doing that we provide practical solutions to local issues. We provide information and expertise that’s available in the form you want, when you want it. That’s Purdue Extension, Indiana’s home team advantage.

The Purdue Extension Crawford County 4-H program is open to all youth in grades 3-12 (mini is offered to grades K-2). 4-H programming is tailored to the interests of the youth in our community. 4-H members are guided by adult volunteers using hands-on, learn-by-doing, all inclusive programming that helps to develop skills they will use for a lifetime. Using programming provided by Purdue Extension Crawford County, youth experience 4-H through community clubs, in-school and after-school programs, 4-H camps and many more!
4-H empowers young people with the skills to lead for a lifetime. It's a research-based experience that includes a mentor, a hands-on project, and a meaningful leadership opportunity. Head, Heart, Hands, and Health are the four Hs in 4-H, and they are the four values members work on through fun and engaging programs. 4-H provides youth with community, mentors, and learning opportunities to develop the skills they need to create positive change in their lives and in their communities.
