Hippology & Horse Communications Career Development Events

The objectives of Hippology are to provide an opportunity for youth to learn and demonstrate their breadth of knowledge and understanding of horse management and to learn life-skills such as acquiring knowledge, communicating, solving problems, relating to others and applying leadership skills.​ 

 

Contest details & schedule

 Hippology Contests: 

  • March 29th, 2025 ( Registration starts at 7:45 am EST and contest starts at 8:30 am EST)
  • Purdue University, Lilly Hall of Life Sciences  
  • Cost is $15 per participant, per event. Lunch is not provided and will need to be brought or delivered to participants. 
  • Divisions are Junior, Intermediate, Senior. 
  • Payment/Cancellation/Late Fee/Refund Policy
  • 4-H CDE Coach Expectations

  • Registration Note: Coaches registering a 4-H team/individual must do so using their 4-H Online account. Instructions for registering in 4-H Online. 

Horse Communications (Demonstration & Public Speaking) Contests:
