Cheyanne Geideman
Cheyanne serves Allen County as a Community Development Extension Educator. A native of northeast Indiana, she holds a B.S. in Visual Communications Design from Purdue University and an M.A. in International Community Development from Northwest University. During her undergraduate experience, Cheyanne was recognized for her leadership and skills in art and design. During her master’s program, Cheyanne focused on the impact of the digital age on communities and conducted research internationally.
Cheyanne's career began as a communications and marketing coordinator, where she quickly recognized the growing overlap between communications and community development in the digital age. This insight led her to specialize in addressing broadband issues and the digital divide. She has led the development and/or implementation of many of Indiana’s digital inclusion plans, including the state digital equity plan. She has contributed to programming addressing digital skill needs, broadband gaps, digital divide awareness, data gathering, and more. Currently, her work spans various topics and audiences, from communities creating digital inclusion plans to small businesses contributing to the local digital economy.
Offline, Cheyanne pursues a variety of hobbies from fine arts to fiber arts and everything in between. She loves to create while listening to an audiobook or alongside her family, friends, or cat. A naturally curious person, Cheyanne is a world traveler ready for her next adventure in Allen County.
